Ya-Ching Hsu

Ya-Ching Hsu received her M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at National Taiwan Normal University. She also holds the Certificate of Qualification to Teach Mandarin Chinese as a Second Language from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. She has been teaching Chinese language since 2009 and her teaching experience ranges from beginning to advanced level courses, as well as language for professional use (Business Chinese). Before joining Northwestern, she had been working as a language lecturer in the Chinese programs at Hamilton College from 2014 to 2016, Bucknell University from 2016 to 2017, and the University of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2020. Her research interests focus on task-based language teaching, curriculum development, and heritage language education.
